Frank Edward Frawley, Jr. passed away peacefully on March 26, 2019 at the age of 86 in Plano, Texas. Frank was born July 30, 1932 in Santa Barbara, California to parents Francis Edward Frawley and Margaret Ann Matheson Frawley. He grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma with his parents and brother, David Alan Frawley. He graduated from Marquette High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1950.
In 1955, Frank graduated from The University of Tulsa with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. At this time, he received his commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force having been a member of the ROTC. During college, Frank was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity and met the love of his life, Lynette Lamb, who was also a 1955 graduate of The University of Tulsa. Frank and Lynette married on June 15, 1955 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He served in the Air Force from 1955 to 1957 at Presque Isle Air Force Base in Maine and went on to begin a long career in the oil and gas industry. Frank was employed by Gulf Oil Corporation and Chevron Corporation and spent his career in oil and gas production in West Texas. During his career he lived in Monahans, Fort Stockton, and Odessa, Texas. Frank and Lynette moved to Plano, Texas to be closer to family in 2015. He was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting stamps and coins.
Frank will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Lynette, and his children, Susan Skaggs (Mel), Carol Richards (Chris), Anne Turano (Joe), and William Frawley (Michelle). Frank will also be fondly remembered by his ten grandchildren, Alan Skaggs (Laurel), Marie Skaggs, Bridget Skaggs (Elliot Mandel), Megan Richards, Lauren Ward (Braxton), Matthew Richards, Catherine Turano, Elizabeth Turano, Charles Frawley, and David Frawley and by his four great-grandchildren, Prescott and Evelyn Skaggs and Abigail and Chase Ward. He will be lovingly remembered by many extended family members including Elizabeth and David Frawley, Genevieve and George Mabey, and Marguerite and Robert Probst.
Memorial Services will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5100 W Plano Pkwy, Plano, TX 75093 on Monday, April 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the morning.
The family members appreciate the care Frank received by his nurses and aides at the Reserve at Richardson and from Careplus Hospice Services, especially his care givers Robert Woodard, Nicolette Fomensky, Janet Carter, Beverly Wright, and Noushin Bozorgmehri.
