Whitney Illies Obituary

Whitney Kay (Wheeler) Illies, 56, of Bedford, TX passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021. Whitney was born on February 09, 1965 in St. Joseph, MO to Karen and Theodore Wheeler. She married Steven Michael Illies on October 10, 1992.  Together they were blessed with two beautiful children, Landon and Keegan.

Her husband, Steven Illies and her mother, Karen Wheeler preceded Whitney in death. Survivors include her two children, Landon (Chandler) Illies and first grandson Braxtyn of Ft. Worth, TX and Keegan (Bre) Illies of Grand Prairie, TX. Other survivors include her father, Theodore Wheeler; sister Lorri (Ron) Ellis; sister Julie (Joe) Kubiak; brother Wade (Sharice) Wheeler; in-laws Michael and Audrey Illies; sister-in-laws Sheryl (John) Mostad, Becky (Mark) Weller, Bobbi (Neal) Dollinger, and Micki (Mike) Lemke as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Whitney’s love for life revolved around her family, friends, and her business.  She loved her two sons, their wives, her grandson, Braxtyn, and her second grandson, Kolby that is due in December, with all of her heart.  She loved her friends as if they were family, she never knew a stranger and only saw the good in everyone she encountered.  Whitney loved what she did and the business she created on her own.  She was so talented in so many ways.  She was the queen of trash to treasure.  She could see the beauty in something that others would merely look at and throw away.  She would then turn it into something wonderful.  All of the homes she purchased to renovate and the jobs she did for others were works of art when she finished with them, she paid attention to details as she knew the little things mattered.  Once rented, her tenants became her family as well and she cared for them deeply.  She would do anything for anyone and anytime. Whitney was such a beautiful soul who cared more for others than herself.  She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
