Susan "Kathy" Mashburn Obituary
Susan “Kathy” Kathleen Mashburn, age 72, passed away on April 29, 2023 in Irving, Texas. Kathy was born on January 23, 1951 to Edward Butler and Iona Christine Butler Drake in Dallas, Texas where she was raised with her four siblings. Kathy attended Decatur Community College where she studied to be a pharmacy tech. She lived in Decatur, Illinois with her husband, Jerry, for more than 20 years. Kathy was a volunteer for many years with the American Red Cross. She loved animals and raised Siamese cats that she would take to competitive shows. More than anything else, she loved her family.
Susan Kathleen Mashburn is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Dennis Butler, and by her husband, Jerry Mashburn. She is survived by her siblings, Sherry Hicks of Alba, TX, Arlyne Martin of Amarillo, TX, Denise Van Hoozer of Irving, TX, and Mark Butler of Gilmer, TX; as well as her nieces and nephew.
