Shirley Ann Martin, born February 2, 1945 and passed away peacefully on September 16th, 2021.
Shirley was born in Bowie, Texas. Her family moved to Fort Worth, Texas soon after where her father was working for General Dynamics. She attended school at C.F. Brewer, where she played the trumpet in the marching band and was also later a baton twirler. She worked for Harris Packaging Company and Greenbay Packaging for almost 30 years.
Shirley enjoyed crochet, puzzles, and reading books. Especially ones about the Old West, The Hobbit, and Harry Potter. She also enjoyed trying new foods, action and fantasy movies, and and taking care of many small dogs and cats over the years. She had a challenging life but always tried to put on a good face and did her best to resolve every issue that was thrown her way. She could be ornery and brazen one moment, and then laughing and joking the next. One thing about her, she always spoke her mind!
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; Zachary and Ethel Martin (nee Oliver), and her brother; Ronald Gene Martin.
She is survived by two brothers; Troy Martin of Connecticut, and Jerry Martin of Keller, TX. Her three children; Michael Saxon of Fort Worth TX, Linda Stephenson of Saginaw TX, and Janice Hanson of Moline Illinois. Also six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
As per her wishes, there will be no service.
