Shannon Seville (Cookie) Neilon was born on February 17th, 1964, in San Bernardino, California, to Billy Merle Walker and to Wandine Elizabeth Moudy, and earned her angel wings and entered the pearly gates of Heaven on Sunday, April 23rd, 2023, in Arlington, Texas, after a long battle with COPD, at the age of 59 years old.
Shannon was the 13th child born to her parents, Bill and Wandine Walker. She grew up in Seminole and May, Texas, alongside her 6 brothers, Ray, Don, Stanley, Jimmy, Scott, Bobby, and her 6 sisters, Pat, Joyce, Nona, Jean, Kathy and Connie. Shannon was always so very proud to be the only one of her brothers and sisters to graduate from High School.
Shannon’s favorite color was purple and she loved listening to Patsy Cline, AC/DC, Metallica, Def Leppard and Tom Petty. She also loved to camp out and to fish. She loved to travel and visit new places and she always had to stop and get a rock from every new place she went. She played Basketball and Volleyball in High School and was a member of the May High School pep squad.
Shannon loved spending time with all of her grandchildren. She was affectionately called “Aunt Shan” by her many nieces and nephews. She was loved by all. She had a sweet hippie soul and always made positive impressions on everyone she met, although she kept a very small close circle of friends
Shannon is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Wandine Walker, by 4 brothers, by 5 sisters, and by her beloved daughter, Alisha Kay Holden.
Shannon is survived by her loving husband, David Gene Neilon, of Arlington, Texas, by her 2 sons, Kent Matthews, of Keene, Texas, Adam Holden and his partner, Connie Wilcher, of Eastland, Texas, by her 3 daughters, Fancy Finley, of Abilene, Texas, Staci Cady, of Emory, Texas, Misti McGraw and her husband, Nate McGraw, of Arlington, Texas, and by her 10 grandchildren, Kaley Rutledge, Andrew Rutledge, Lane Ashley, Jaxon Williams, Jayce Williams, Aayliah Cady, Anthony Cady, Peyton McGraw, Kyndall Mims and Braily Mims.

You will always be in our hearts, until we are reunited in Heaven.
