Obituary

Sarah Blasko was born on August 11th, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, to Thomas Montemayor and to Esther Munoz, and passed away peacefully from this life on May 22nd, 2023, at her home in Richardson, Texas, at the age of 86 years old.

Most of her childhood memories are from northwest Indiana, where Sarah grew up and graduated high school. She attended the University of North Texas in Denton. She would later temporarily settle in the Chicago area, where she began working as a bookkeeper before relocating to Texas in 1977. Business Accounting was her lifelong professional occupation, that she proudly worked until the age of 73. In addition to working outside of her home at C.P.A. firms, she also had her own home business of filing tax returns for her clients, where she was a Registered Tax Return Professional.

Sarah loved to travel! She was fascinated with East Asian Culture. She took vacations to Japan and Hong Kong, China. Locally, she enjoyed frequent trips to San Antonio, Texas, with her friends. She enjoyed jazz music and dancing to Latin music. Sarah was an avid gardener. She loved her outdoor landscape where she took meticulous care of her lawn, flower beds and shrubs. She was awarded yard of the month several times for Richardson, Texas. Sarah came to faith in Jesus Christ as a child. She regularly attended church services and activities in Indiana, Chicago and Texas. In 1978, she became a member of The Heights Church, in Richardson, Texas.

Sarah's ultimate legacy is her family, whom she loved and adored. Sarah loved to bring family together for the holidays and birthday celebrations. She enjoyed traveling to visit both family and friends.

Sarah is survived by her 4 children, Angelique, David, Richard, and Monique, by her 9 grandchildren, Jacqueline, James, Erik, Rachael, Kevin, Kristen, Esther, Naomi, and Samuel, by her 5 great-grandchildren, Trent, Casidie, James, Morgan and Braiden, and by 1 great-great-grandchild, Catalina.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 31st, 2023, in the chapel at The Heights Church, located at: 201 W. Renner Road, Richardson, Texas 75080.

Flowers may be delivered on Tuesday, May 30th, 2023, to the Heights Church located in Richardson, Texas.
