Samuel (Sam) Gonzales

Captain Samuel Gonzales, age 74, went home to Glory on August 9, 2021 where is now walks with Jesus on those beautiful streets of gold.

Memorial service will be held on August 21, 2021 at 10:30 AM with food and fellowship to follow at Walnut Creek Church 200 Newt Patterson Rd, Mansfield TX. 76063

Samuel Gonzales was born Oct. 29, 1946 in Stamford TX,  He was a Captain in the Army where is served 2 tours in Vietnam, in the 82nd Airborne Division. He then went on to become a Staff Sargent in the National Guard.  He Loved the Lord with all of his heart, and his family deeply. He was also a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys through and through, as well as the Texas Rangers, he loved his sports.

He was preceded in the death by his parents Able and Juan Gonzales. His sister Gloria Martinez and brother n law Jessie Martinez.                                                        

Survivors include:  Two daughters- Tammy Gonzales Terrazas, her husband Sixto III, and Natalie Ryals, her husband Steve.  He had Eight Grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren with one on the way.  Two sisters- Amy Vega, her husband Joe, Elisa Nibert, her husband Richard; Four brothers- Juan Gonzales, his wife Juanita, Daniel Gonzales, his wife Victoria, Rey Gonzales, his wife Sheila, and baby brother Joe Michael;  he had numerous nieces and nephews.
