Robert "Gary" Muth, born on January 26th 1951 to Robert M Muth and Clara G Muth peacefully passed away on April 2nd 2024. He fought hard for 13 months after suffering a debilitating stroke. Gary was born and grew up in Chatham, New Jersey.
After graduating from Chatham Township High School, Gary worked in the electronic industry for a few years. In 1978 he moved to Texas with the company that was headquartered there. Prior to his move, he was dating Pam Driscoll. She subsequently followed Gary to Texas where they happily spent the next 46 years together.
Gary's love of electronics, cars, motorcycles and amateur radio kept him busy over his years. His ham radio call sign was N5OMO. He was a wizard at fixing anything... he had a way of figuring "work arounds" to get something to run or work, very Rube Goldberg-ish, but usually never failed. Before retiring, his last job, for 10 years, he was responsible for mixing dry explosive powders for the blasting caps the oil drilling companies used, a very precise task. In his later years he also loved photography and had quite a collection of cameras and camera equipment. Pam and Gary also loved traveling around Texas and Cruising.
Gary could never say "no" when it came to helping anyone who needed a hand. Those who knew Gary will remember him for his unwavering dedication to helping others. He was never still, always "tinkering" with something or putting CB antenna's up, or replacing a motor in a fiends car, or his favorite... attending an electronic swap meet, or a 30 mile garage sale.
Gary was proceeded in death by his parents Robert M (72) and Clara G (99) Muth and his wife of 36 years Pam Driscoll Muth.
Gary is survived by his sister Barbara C (Muth) Jones; niece Kristin Jones Patterson and husband Brian; nephew M. Scott Jones and wife Yvonne; grand nephews Brandon and Brody Patterson and grand nephew and niece Mason and Maddie Jones; Gary's wife's brother and sister in law Robert and Cathy Driscoll, who, for 15 months were devoted and lovingly dedicated to his care after his stroke, without whom Barbara would have been lost. Distance makes situations like this so much more complicated. Also wife's sister and brother in law Sharon and Jim Aldendefer, their daughter Crystal Miles and extended family. Many more nieces and nephews, and so many others too numerous to mention... he was loved and respected my all.
Gary's preference was to be cremated, as was his wife. He requested no other send off.
