Paul Garcia went home to the Lord on Friday, July 31, 2015, at 12:32 p.m., surrounded by his loving wife of 37 years and three daughters. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at Wedgwood Baptist Church, 5522 Whitman Ave., Fort Worth. Paul was born June 5, 1959, in Fort Worth. He studied auto body and was in Junior ROTC at Trimble Tech High School. It was there he met the love of his life, Jeannie Hyde. After four years together, they married May 25, 1978. Paul was a father to three daughters who brought joy to his life. He was an avid sports fan and always supported the local teams. His favorites were the Cowboys, Rangers, Horned Frogs, Longhorns and the Trimble Tech Bulldogs. He also enjoyed NASCAR. He worked for Wooten's and Thomas Wrecker Service over 20 years. He loved the Lord and worshipped with his family at Samuels Avenue Baptist Church for 25 years. He loved his friends and family and had a wonderful sense of humor. He tried to help those he could and prayed for those he couldn't. His big heart and smile will be cherished by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Garcia Sr.; mother, Pauline Ramos; one daughter, Elizabeth Nicole Garcia; and one granddaughter, Arianna Elizabeth Wilkinson. Survivors: Wife, Jeannie Garcia; daughters, Monica Garcia-Wilkinson and husband, Leroy Wilkinson Jr., Sylvia Williams and husband, Arthur Williams Jr., and Christy Garcia; grandchildren, Alexis, Issac, Samuel and Leah; sisters, Elva Trevino and husband, Manuel, and Iris Ramos; brothers, Frank Garcia, Lupe Garcia and wife, Jeanette; adopted children, Gilbert Rangel Jr., Janice Carrell, Gloria Rangel and Stephanie Lopez; other family; and countless friends.
