Michele Bennett Wilson

Michele, 57, passed away on January 2, 2022 in Arlington, Texas.  She was born in Frankfurt Germany on July 31, 1964.

When her father was discharged from the Army the family moved to San Diego, where she grew up and went to school in Poway, California. There she worked at the public library and graduated high school in 1982. The family next moved to San Antonio to be near relatives. There she worked for the San Antonio Central Library. Michele decided to get her degree and moved to Arlington to attend UTA where she worked at the school's library. She received her bachelors and next enrolled at UNT for a masters in library sciences. Michele graduated there in 2000 and began her career as a children's librarian for Arlington Public Library. Eventually she moved on to Burleson and finally Dallas where she was head of the Arcadia Branch Library.

She had many interests. She was always reading a book. Michelle loved to collect stuffed lions and lion figurines, she also collected Princess Diana memorabilia. Her favorite team was the Texas Rangers and she loved going to games at the Ballpark. Michele also loved to knit and bake cookies during the holidays. Disney World was her favorite place.

Michele was a loving mother, husband, and aunt with numerous nieces and nephews. She was very outgoing and had many friends from her years as a librarian. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially the kids.

Michele is preceded in death by her father Robert Gregory Bennett and mother Mary Louis Bennett.

Michele is survived by her husband, Joe Wilson; son Austin; brothers Damon Bennett and his wife Joan, Brian Bennett and his wife Anna; brother-in-law Donald Wilson and his wife Sharon. Michele is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Advent Lutheran Church 3232 S Cooper St Arlington 76015 on Thursday January 13, 2022 at 7pm.
