It is with great sadness that the Klug Family announces the death of Michael Irven Klug.
Mike was born on August 10th, 1946, in Dallas, Texas, and he passed away peacefully on December 12th, 2021, at the age of 75 years old.
Mike grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas, and graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1964. He then went on to obtain a B.A. in Business from the University of North Texas.
Mike was an avid golfer. He also loved watching hockey, football, soccer, golf, tennis and baseball. Another passion of Mike's were crossword puzzles and sudokus. He enthusiastically completed these puzzles every day. Mike and Bridget were married on December 26th,1973, and built a beautiful life together with their two daughters, Lauren and Lindsey.
Mike was a family man and a great friend to many.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Irven and Billie Klug.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Bridget Klug, by his daughter, Lauren Stout and son-in-law Guymon Black, daughter, Lindsey Nichols and son-in-law Koy Nichols, three grandchildren, sister, Marci Copeland and brother-in-law Walter Copeland, and by his beloved cat, Cali.
There will be a Celebration of Life in Mike’s honor on January 22nd, 2022, at 1pm at St. John the Apostle United Methodist Church, located at 5450 Mansfield Road in Arlington, Texas 76017.
A reception will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall at the church. The service will also be recorded and posted after the ceremony for anyone that cannot attend.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Mike’s memory to St. John the Apostle United Methodist Church.
Though Mike’s wings were ready to fly, his friends and family's' hearts were not. He is remembered and loved each and every day.
