An original "Girl Dad," he took his daughters to sporting events and he coached sports teams for each of them. Mike was an avid reader who loved history and trivia. He was a math wizard who could quickly calculate equations in his head, and although he never attended the opera, he could answer most of the questions about opera on Jeopardy.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother; Margaret (Newton) Claytor, and his father; Charles Lee Claytor,
He is survived by Daughters; Shannon Claytor Roberts, Haven Claytor and Jordan Claytor.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a memorial donation to the American Red Cross
Mike was a proud Texan, and would always make sure to buy his friends who had relocated to Texas a bumper sticker that said "I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could."
