Mom was a homemaker and had a servant's heart that was reflected in her generosity in caring and giving to others. When we were young our house was always open to our friends and they were welcomed in like family. Although she had 7 children of her own she never turned anyone away if they needed a place to stay or food to eat. She enjoyed cooking for her family and her macaroni and cheese was always a staple at family gatherings and the recipe has been passed down from generation to generation. Mom loved animals and never told us no if we wanted to bring one home. She also had a passion for raising African Violets and you would always find them on the window sills of our house. Hummingbirds were a favorite of mothers; a spring never went by without the yard and porch being covered with feeders.
Mom was an amazing, loving and generous woman. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. Mom had a warm personality and great sense of humor. She was always there for her family, offering love and support. Mom never missed a birthday. Her family was always at the forefront of her life. She was truly a mom like no other. Mom was loved so much by her family and friends. Her love can never be replaced and the memories of her will live in our hearts forever.
