Mary Frances Luedemann was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 10, 1935 to Alex and Mary Agnes Crawford, and passed away peacefully September 25, 2021.
Mary Frances grew up in San Antonio and graduated from Providence Catholic High School. After her son Tommy was born, she moved to Houston, Texas and worked for Schill Steel. She later began her career of almost 30 years at Spring Branch ISD.
She enjoyed her volunteer work at Memorial City Hospital, St. John Vianney Catholic Church and Catholic Charities. She loved watching University of Texas football and used to light an orange candle for the game day. She had a green thumb and could keep any plant thriving. She loved shopping any chance she could get, especially for the most trendy colors of the season. She cherished visiting family, going to the beach and was a genuinely prooud native Texan.
Mary Frances was a caring mother, grandmother, and aunt. She loved her time cooking for the family during the holidays. Her sense of humor, laugh, smile and fiestiness will be so very missed.
Mary Frances was preceded in death by her parents and her son Thomas Luedemann, her brother William Crawford and sister Barbara Franger.
She is survived by her daughter Becky Iles and husband Leighton, granddaughter Courtney Boyle and Patrick, Grandson Bradley Luedemann, grandson Hunter Iles and wife Kalee, granddaughter Hanna Santacruz and husband Haimirich. She is also survived by her sister Ann Louise Bippert, brother James Crawford and sister Margaret Schaefer Kleist as well as many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Fort Worth, Friday, October 8th at 10:00AM. The burial will follow Monday, October 11th in San Antonio.
