Marsha Gracey Obituary

Marsha Jean Gracey was born on March 29th , 1943, in Booneville, Kentucky, to Marshall Wilson and to
Lois Duff, and passed away on May 14th , 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 80 years old.
Marsha lived her adult life in Lexington, Kentucky. She moved in June 2022 to Keller, Tx to be closer to
her daughter. Marsha was a devoted mother, raising her two children as a single parent. She worked for
Lexington Board of Realtors for twenty years. Then ten years after retiring, she returned to work for
Estée Lauder at Dillards for ten years.
Marsha traveled the world upon retirement. She also enjoyed working in her yard and observing the
wildlife. Marsha loved taking care of her animals, including her cat Aiden. She loved University of
Kentucky basketball and was fond of Coach Cal. Marsha was very proud of her heritage and family from
eastern Kentucky. She loved to take walks and chat with her friends. Marsha loved to shop, dress up and
enjoyed fashion. She could spends hours in the grocery store and liked to cook. Marsha enjoyed music,
dancing, and having a good time with friends and family.
Marsha was a people person, she loved to talk and socialize. She was a busy body and rarely sat down .
She loved her neighbors that were so very good to her. Marsha dearly loved her family, friends, and pets
over her lifetime. Marsha never met a stranger and loved to be on the go! Marsha was one of a kind, her
teacher wrote on her report card “Marsha is like a light shining in a dark room."
Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Lois Wilson, and her brother Robert ”Bob”
Wilson
Survived by daughter, Shelley (Jeff) Jensen Keller, Tx, son, Eric (Sarah) Gracey Frankfort, Ky, grandsons,
Ryan (Kate) Hughey, Collin (Heather) Hughey, and Jefferson Jensen, Great Grandsons Hunter and Jensen
Hughey. Brother Ken (Rose) Wilson, nephew Chris (Alicia) Wilson and great nephews Frankie and Reeves
and her beloved sister-in-law, Julia Wilson. Besides being a Mimi to her five boys, she loved being an
aunt and having many cousins.
Marsha remains will be buried at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with her parents in Booneville, Ky in the
early part of July.
Mom/Mimi you were beautiful, kind, funny and so very loved. You will be greatly missed , but we know you
are HOME. You will never be forgotten and we will keep your light shining Xoxo
