Green, Marion Dale Jr (Doc) born on September 25, 1947 in Littlefield, TX to Marion Dale Sr and Anita Maurine Green passed away February 26, 2021 in North Richland Hills, TX at the age of 73 years.
Dale, or “Doc” as his family affectionately referred to him, spent his early life growing up in West Texas. He voluntarily joined the United States Army and enlisted to proudly serve his country in Vietnam. He later found a career he truly enjoyed in the cargo transport industry as an independent contractor. During his life he loved hunting, bowling (he bowled a perfect 300 which was quite a bragging right back in the day), he was a die hard Texas Tech fan and would light up at just the mention of his team. But his number one love, his favorite hobby and his true passion in life was his wife of 34 years, Becky. You would have never seen two people more in good old fashioned love. He had an infectious sense of humor and sarcastic wit and had the ability to take any tense or overly emotional moment and with a simple quip make you laugh and cause your stress to vanish. He was compassionate and always believed in doing the right thing, not the easy thing. As a dad he was the best pep talk giver ever. He loved his family and would be the first one to be there if you were in need, no questions asked, day or night.
He was preceded in death by his mother Anita Muarine Clark (Beckum) and father Marion Dale Green Sr.
He is survived by his wife Rebecca Green (Thornbrough); daughter Jamie Wilson (Green); and grandaughter Madeline Wilson; brothers John Smith (wife Mary); and Jim Green (wife Jean); he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
