Marcela Ramirez Garza, 88, passed into eternal rest Thursday, June 9, 2022 in Weatherford, Texas. Marcela Garza was born in Santa Elena, Texas. She graduated from San Isidro High School. After graduation, she attended business college in the Rio Grande Valley, where she met and married Fernando Garza. She worked as a bookkeeper for Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Co. in Weslaco. She later worked as a nutrition aide at a children's clinic in Robstown and retired as a special education paraprofessional in Fort Worth. Although she was born in South Texas, and lived there for many years, she considered the Fort Worth area her home, having lived there for close to 30 years. She loved the simple things in life, like watching and listening to birds, and enjoying all that nature has to offer. However, she was the happiest when she spent time with her children and grandchildren. She was an active, constant part of their lives and was incredibly proud of each one of them. Our mother was the epitome of Love, Sacrifice, Patience, and Strength. She was a spiritual soul and exuded genuine warmth and kindness. She enjoyed sitting quietly, reading from her prayer books in both English and Spanish. If she could do so on a beautiful day outside, all the better!
Marcela is preceded in death by her husband, Fernando Elias Garza, Sr., her father, Efrain Ramirez, her mother, Maria Laurel Ramirez, her siblings, Efrain Ramirez, Emma Ramirez Munoz, Maria Ella Ramirez Pena, and Imelda Ramirez Saldivar. She is survived by her children; Vilma (Mark) McAdams, Fernando Elias Garza, Jr., Chari (Nick) Ybarra, her grandchildren; Melanie (Bob) Manthei, Ryan McAdams, Vicente Elias Garza, Fernando Elias "Trey" Garza III, Justin Martinez, Justine Martinez, Nicolas Ybarra and Natalie Ybarra, and her great-grandchildren; Maren Elizabeth Manthei and Logan Ryan Arciniega; her brother, Renato (Rosa) Ramirez, brothers-in-law, Romeo Munoz, Erasmo Garza, and Bruce Banks; sisters-in-law, Sylvia Garza Banks, Lydia Garza, and Edna Garza and numerous nieces and nephews.

May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand. ~Irish Blessing
