Kevin Todd Decker was born on January 5th, 1967, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to Robert Decker and to Robbie Meador, and passed away on April 9th, 2024, in Frisco, Texas, at the age of 57 years old.
Kevin grew up an only child and his family moved from Pennsylvania to Texas, in order to maintain close family ties. He graduated from Lake Highlands High School and worked in the audio video industry for his entire career span.
Kevin had many hobbies that he loved to dive into; he was an extremely talented artist and his main masterpiece he worked on was his home. It was his sanctuary. He was a deeply devoted sports fan and a collector of medieval decor, as well as a huge animal lover and gardener. He truly loved being outdoors and creating something with his own two hands. Kevin was also the most devoted father and Papa to his children and grandchildren, embracing every opportunity to spend time with them. Kevin was also a very selfless man donating continuously of the years to many children’s hospitals such as St. Jude’s, Shriners, Scottish Rite, and make - A- wish foundation. He truly was a shining light in this world.
Not only was Kevin a devoted and loving father, grandpa and friend, but he was also one of the funniest people to grace your presence. Being around him meant times were fun and light hearted with many laughs and smiles. He truly lit up the room when he was around. Kevin was also a ferociously caring and a protective person - you were always safe with him. He was a main pillar of the family and a guiding light for all, always willing to help and give words of wisdom when needed.
Kevin is preceded in death by his father, Robert Decker, and his mother, Robbie Meador.
Kevin is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Nemeth; son, Brandon Decker; grandchildren, Kendal Decker Backus, Andy Nemeth, and Alexander Nemeth, and his beloved puppy, Minnie.
A service is to be held in Kevin’s name at his residence on April 14th, 2024, from1pm -3 pm.
