Joshua was born to mother, Cynthia King, and father, David Bruce Mayer Sr., in Odessa, Texas. Joshua spent his childhood in Floreceville, Texas. He attended High School in Lavernia, Texas, and Euless, Texas.
Joshua was a music enthusiast. He loved all types of music, he played the guitar and piano, sang and he also liked to write music. He liked anything that was associated with going fast motorcycles, dirt bikes, cars and tractors. Joshua was a Christian and he loved his Lord Jesus Christ, and he knew his word front to back. He loved to travel and explore new places and meeting new people. He made friends with everyone he met.
Joshua was a loving and caring son, brother, father and friend. His love was true, beautiful and always in the right place. He loved his family dearly and he made sure that they always knew it. He loved helping people in need. If you were sad, he was going to make you smile. He loved children, whether they were his own or not. He loved to smile and laugh, and to make other people smile and laugh around him. He brought joy to many; he had the gift of gab, and he never met a stranger. He was a daredevil and very adventurous. If there was a pool, he was the first one diving in! If there was a mountain, he was climbing it to the highest point. He was very outgoing. He was loved immensely and will be missed tremendously.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Bruce Mayer Sr.
Joshua is survived by his mother, Cynthia White; his adopted father, Jack Pool and adopted mother, Mary Pool; brothers: David Bruce Mayer Jr., Marvin Shane Mayer, David Joseph Mayer, and Joseph Travis Hoogie; sisters: Misty Mayer, Angela Rae Mayer, Christina Hernandez, Alexandra Anderson, and Beatrice Hinesley; and by his children: Kailee Mayer, Jayden Mayer, Jacob Mayer, Jordan Mayer, Ryder Mayer, Raven Mayer, River Mayer and Wyatt Mayer.
