John was a big fan of NASCAR, his greatest hero was Dale Earnhardt and also Dale Earnhardt JR. He never ever would miss a race and would go to the races at Texas Motor Speedway often. John loved to go fishing and was involved in many bass tournaments. He also loved spending quality time with his wife and children and most importantly his grandchildren. His favorite part of the summer is when the whole family would go to different water parks like Burgers Lake and NRH2O. Every Thanksgiving he would always cook a big seafood feast with crab legs and shrimp and all the fixings, it was his own twist to thanksgiving and now one of our biggest family traditions.
John was a very loving and caring father, grandfather and husband. One of his biggest passions was to cook for his family.
