John Overstreet II Obituary

John Owen Overstreet II, 60, passed away on November 8, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas.  He was born in Torrance, California to John Owen Overstreet and Rena Inez Sparks on March 17, 1961.  After graduating high school in California John went to Culinary Arts School.  Later he joined the Air Force from 1978 to 1981.  In 1988 he then started his career in the Aerospace Industry where he found his passion doing Non-Destructive Testing.

John was a big fan of NASCAR, his greatest hero was Dale Earnhardt and also Dale Earnhardt JR.  He never ever would miss a race and would go to the races at Texas Motor Speedway often. John loved to go fishing and was involved in many bass tournaments. He also loved spending quality time with his wife and children and most importantly his grandchildren. His favorite part of the summer is when the whole family would go to different water parks like Burgers Lake and NRH2O.  Every Thanksgiving he would always cook a big seafood feast with crab legs and shrimp and all the fixings, it was his own twist to thanksgiving and now one of our biggest family traditions.

John was a very loving and caring father, grandfather and husband. One of his biggest passions was to cook for his family.

He is preceded in death by both parents, John Overstreet & Rena Inez Knable; sister Marina Henry; and his brother Rodney Overstreet.

John is survived by wife Nedra Overstreet; daughters, LaToya Boston, Tiffany Tribble, Megan Overstreet and Summer Overstreet; sister Debi Kay and brothers Randy Paulsen and Don Paulsen; bother Bill Overstreet; grandchildren Nathan, BaiLee, Amy, Aaron, Jayce and one on the way.
