John Desilets, Jr. was born on July 27, 1963 in Fort Worth, Texas and passed away on May 2, 2021, at the age of 57. He graduated from Eastern Hills High School in 1981 and attended Texas Wesleyan and Tarrant County Junior College. He played all sports, but golf was his passion.
John was outgoing and loved by his family and friends, but he loved family and friends even more. He possessed an infectious smile that went on forever along with an abundance of charm and charisma. He could make you laugh until your belly hurt. Some of his favorite past times were taking his son, niece, nephew, and anyone who would go to play Putt-Putt and to the Texas Ranger games where he loved to cheer on A-Rod.
John was preceded in death by his nephew, William Dooley.
He is survived by his son, Grayson Desilets; parents Julie and John Desilets; sister Laura (Desilets) Fuqua and husband Chuck; and niece, Heather (Dooley) Koehne and husband, David, and their children, Rhylee & Ryker.
A private Celebration of Life will be held later this summer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The First Tee - Fort Worth, P.O. Box 4767, Fort Worth, TX 76164 (https://www.firstteeftworth.org/) or your favorite charity.
The family is clinging tightly to their faith during this time:
Psalms 34:18 – The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Revelation 21:4 – He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more. There will be no mourning, crying, or pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.
