John Raymond Bourgois, of Royse City, Texas, passed away on the 6th of June, 2020, at the age of 66 years. John was born on the 21st of March , 1954, in Newport Beach, CA, to the late John Roland Bourgois and Norma Frances Marino Bourgois.
John grew up in Southern California with his brother, Thomas, and would later move to Texas for his work as a consultant for oil investment.
John was an avid fisherman, greatly enjoyed football, loved working on old cars and never turned down an opportunity to play a game of cribbage. He was friendly, outgoing and a generous host.
John Raymond Bourgois is preceded in death by his parents, John Roland Bourgois and Norma Frances Marino Bourgois, and by his brother, Tom.
He is survived by his uncle, Jim Awalt of Hot Springs Village, AR, aunt, Kristine Awalt of Sacramento, CA, cousins Donna Long of Bakersfield, CA, Susan Hart Wilson, John Benedict, Sandy Witzigman, Debbie Awalt, Becky Chavez, and Barbara Friz, as well as by his extended family and friends.
