Jeffrey William Hughes, 55, died March 13, 2021 in Ft. Worth, Texas with his brother, Joe, and
companion, Molly, at his side.
Jeff grew up in San Antonio, Texas. While in high school, his family moved to Pasadena, Texas where he
graduated from Pasadena High School. He moved back to San Antonio and later graduated from San
Antonio College with a degree in Computer Technology.
From an early age he loved comic books and became the owner of Comic Book Divas Publishing, where he
enjoyed writing and working with a variety of illustrators. In addition to his love of comics, he was an
avid collector of toys and other collectibles. He was a passionate football fan, his favorite teams were the
Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed watching movies and playing
video games.
Jeff is preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Schneider Hughes, and his father, Walter Joe Hughes,
Sr.
He is survived by his brother Joe Hughes and his wife Shanaz, sister Holley Wright and her husband
Todd, niece, Emylin Wright, aunt, Ann Oggero, uncle, Charles Schneider, and cousins Lisa Oggero and Darren
Oggero. He is also survived by his longtime friend and companion, Molly Layer.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 3:30 at Robertson Mueller Harper
Funeral Home in Ft. Worth.
