Janice Bizarro “Jan” Gorton was born on September 21st, 1946, and passed away on June 22nd, 2022, at the age of 75 years old. She grew up in New Bedford, MA, where she graduated high school. She is survived by her two daughters, Sherri and Kerri, and by Brian, whom Jan and David adopted together, when Brian was around three years old. She lived in many states: MA , CA, FL, CT, and finally in Texas, due to her husband's career in aerospace development.
Jan was also an animal lover, so she had many dogs throughout her life and loved every one of them. She also had a deep interest in plants, and her house always had an abundance of plant varieties. She had a deep belief in religion, which is helping her survivor's deal with the sudden loss.
Jan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to travel and find new restaurants locally in each area that the family lived or traveled.
Jan is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Dorothy Bizarro. She is survived by David Gorton, her beloved husband of 45 years; by daughters, Sherri Gorton and Kerri Smith; by son, Brian Gorton; by son-in-law, Bryan Smith; by brother, Frank Bizarro and sister-in-law Mary Bizarro; by Sharon and Russell, Tetreault in laws; by grandchildren, Bobby, Kylie, Braydon, and Kailyn, and by her great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Halie, Brielle and Emily.
