James William Christiansen Jr. was born on August 4th, 1939, in Los Angeles, California, to James William Christiansen and to Elizabeth Catherine Christiansen, and passed away on September 11th, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 84 years old.
James grew up in Newport Beach, California, and attended Newport Harbor High School. He quit school in May of 1956, in the 11th grade, to join the U.S. Navy. He served on the U.S.S, WATTS, U.S.S. TRATHEN, U.S.S. BLAIR, and U.S.S. UNION. James was made a coxswain of landing boats, and then assigned to U.S. Naval Amphibious Base. He was discharged on April 2nd, 1963. After his service in the U.S Navy, James acquired his GED. Thereafter, James became the owner and operator for long haul trucking at Market Transport in Portland, Oregon.
James loved working on fishing boats, vacationing in Gunnison, Utah, and fishing at Fish Lake, Utah. He held 6 Champion Ewes in 4H. James also enjoyed all the many animals we had at different times, and seeing our garden and fruit trees transform from planting to canning time. He always volunteered for church projects as a member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. James greatly oved talking to people.
James was a loving father, husband and best friend. He loved visiting with people of all ages. James also loved food when someone else fixed it.
James is preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Catherine Christiansen.
James is survived by his beloved spouse, Patricia Louise Christiansen, and by his granddaughter, Megan Nicole Christiansen.
