Elaine Mae (Russell) Siler

Elaine Mae Russell Siler born June, 7th 1929 in Kansas City, Kansas and passed peacefully on May 25th 2021. She majored in music, played piano & sang. She rode show horses in the American Royal Horse Shows as well as being one of the first to model with alternative hair colors (Blue, Pink, Orange, and Green) in the 40's and 50's. She was a bookkeeper for her family's business Russell Inc. in Kansas City, and was an accomplished Retail Store Manager and Food and Beverage Manager, She also was a very beloved Food Demo Specialist for Walmart, Sams Club and Costco for 20+ years. Elaine loved to travel, she loved all animals and was the absolute best at enjoying God's creations of nature and the elements, She could pick out shapes and animals in the clouds, Cardinals, Blue Jays and Robins in the trees, and would make note of a cool breeze wisping across her face.

She had many interests and loved to share them with everyone. She enjoyed cooking and decorating for holidays, She loved playing bingo and traveling to places around the country, most notably Las Vegas and Padre Island. She got the chance to be a Brand Ambassador and work on the National Anthem Project Tour several times. But in her down time she enjoyed game shows, several different tv series' and had a serious love for westerns.

Elaine, known to most everyone as Cammy, was a very loving mother, grandmother, best friend, and co-worker. Her family was very important to her. She regularly donated to the DAV, Wounded Warriors, and St. Jude even up to the last month of her life. Her family all loved her dearly and her friends and acquaintances adored her. This world will be much emptier without her loving presence, her beautiful smile, her laugh, and mostly her generous heart.

Elaine is Preceded in Death by: her father, Thomas Christopher Russell, and her mother, Harriett Azella Carr Russell.  She is survived by: Her daughter Harriett Cathleen Siler Mosco of Aurora Colorado, Her son Clifford Russell Siler of Euless Texas, Elaine was the Grandmother of 2 boys Brian Russell Siler (deceased 3 months prior) & Kevin Jay Long & 4 girls, Tiffany Marie Siler, Krystal Kaye Siler, Karrie Morin & Bethany Lynn Thomey, Great Grandmother of Jayden Long, Kelsey Brown, Britney Trovillion, Madison Trovillion, Cayce Parris, Valerie Siler, Sasha Wolf, Taylor Blankenship, Karsyn Hoggan. Great Great Grandmother of Xander Wolf, Elijah Thomey, Elijah Parris, Sawyer Guillen & Oakleigh Borzea.

Services will be held the week of June 28th, but the date has not been set yet. It will be at the Woodland Heights Baptist Church. (3712 Central Dr. Bedford Texas, 76021

"Who Needs Em!" Mothers' are trouble, they got their plan, From the day that your born, til the day you're a man! "Pick up your room" and "take out the trash" "I need your help", out the door I would dash! From combing my hair to washing my face, And let's don't forget, "Put that seat down in place!" "Give me a kiss", "OK", I would moan, Gotta get me a job, can't wait til I'm grown. "Where are you going?", "Not out to roam!" "Who are you seeing?", "When will you be home?" "When can I meet her?", "What is her name?", "She's not just a score, Son, sex isn't a game." Why does she bother?, I know it all, I'm not her little boy now, I'm 6' tall! Her plan is to keep me a boy all my life, And if I should marry, she'll choose me a wife. But I'm here to tell you, not a day goes by, When I think of these things, I react with a sigh. The times that I wasted, those moments, so few, My Mother's intentions were really true blue. I can't change the past but the present is here, I'll do my best to bring her some cheer, To thank her and hug her with all of my might, Trying so hard to make things right. A kiss for you Mom, and a moment to listen, Seeing her smile and her eyes start to glisten. For, if there's one thing on this earth that God made, It's you Mom, you're perfect, A+ is your grade!
