Edwin Paul Gordon, 84, passed away November 10, 2021. A lifelong resident of Fort Worth, Paul was born to Loyce and Edna Turner Gordon on May 22, 1937.
After serving in the army, he completed his undergraduate degree at TCU and later earned a master’s degree at East Texas State Commerce. Paul began his teaching career with the Fort Worth ISD before moving to the HEB system. He was a coach at Central Junior High and L.D. Bell High School and finished his 35-year career teaching in the L.D. Bell vocational program. Paul was a gifted athlete, excelling in football and track during his junior high and high school years. Later he became an avid runner, completing 7 marathons, including the New York Marathon. After his retirement, Paul enjoyed playing golf at Ridglea Country Club, gardening and getting together with his friends from Arlington Heights.
Paul is survived by his wife of 56 years, Martha. They have one son, Matthew, daughter in law, Megan, and grandson, Lyndon of Austin, as well as brothers Tommy (Penny) and Jack (Johnice).
A celebration of life will be planned at a later time.
