Eddie Roscoe “Ed” Fender went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the age of 62 in Fort Worth, TX. Ed was born December 26, 1959 in Dallas, TX to Eddie Sr. and Gearl Dean Farris Fender. He graduated from Prairie Valley High School and studied at Navarro College. He has lived in McKinney, TX most of his adult life.
Ed enjoyed life at the beloved Shasta Ranch and the many individuals who became family while living there. He loved animals, coffee, genealogy, and sports. As a young adult he enjoyed playing and coaching his daughter in volleyball. Ed was also an avid supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and was rarely seen without a Cowboys logo.
Ed was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He enjoyed cookouts with family and friends, and he was a skilled conversationalist. He was compassionate, sympathetic, and always made sure to keep in contact with friends and family.
Ed is preceded in death by Eddie Roscoe Fender Sr. (father), by Gearl Dean Fender (mother), by Ricky Fender (brother) and by Lonnie Fender (brother).
Ed is survived by his daughter, Jessica "Jessie" Bowman (Jacob); his grandchildren, Hank Bowman and Nora Bowman; his sisters, Lavon Burton (Mitch), Sharron Florence (Keith); his sister-in-law, Kathy Fender; by a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; friends, Kelly Nielsen, Lori Nielsen, German Jorge and Olga Ramirez, Charlie North, and by many beloved others.
