Christina Kay Swanson was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on October 6, 1956 and died on December 28, 2020 in Dallas, Texas.
Throughout her life, Christina was a devout Christian who always relied heavily on her faith to help her be of service to others, despite enduring Multiple Sclerosis for over 30 years. Christina rarely met a stranger who didn't quickly become a cherished friend. A graduate of Ursuline Academy of Dallas (1974), Christina proudly served as a Master at Arms in the U.S. Navy.
She is a sixth generation Texan who was preceded in death by both of her loving parents, George and Ann Swanson, her beloved younger sister, Julia H. Swanson and her young son, David Swanson.
Christina is survived by her four devoted siblings: Ann Swanson, Barbara Swanson, Maura Swanson, and George T. Swanson; as well as her four nieces, six nephews, three great-nephews, a great-niece and dozens of adoring cousins.
Her family will always remember Christina as a sensitive, kind-hearted sister and an inspirational, charismatic aunt whose sparkling laugh could melt your troubles away. Rest in peace sweet Christina.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
