Charles Anthony (Tony) Tarvin of Dallas, TX went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2022. Tony was born April 4, 1958 (Good Friday) in Fort Worth, Texas to Fred Charles and Nora Marva Tarvin. Tony spend most of his life living in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. He graduated from Southwest High School in Ft. Worth in 1976 and went on to earn an associate degree from Tarrant County Junior College. Tony worked in the trucking industry at Watkins Freight Lines in the beginning. He later retired from FedEx Ground where he worked for many ears as a dispatch supervisor.
Tony made a point to always stay connected to family with his frequent calls and to just catch up on life's happenings. He was an avid Cowboys and Rangers fan and enjoyed taking his kids to games when he was able. He also enjoyed chess and gold. Tony loved to take trips and cruises with his special friend and traveling companion Kathleen Dale. He also enjoyed live music and karaoke. As a teen, Tony enjoyed singing to the Beatles and memorizing lines from Star Wars movies with his friends. Tony was very friendly and talkative. He enjoyed interacting with people and everyone will say he never met a stranger.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents; Chuck and Marva Tarvin.
He is survived by his three children whom he loved; Lyndsey Michelle Nichols of Corpus Christi, Steven Lee of Arlington and Zachary Ryan of Texas City, 2 grandsons Aiden and Carter, brother Robert Tarvin of Arlington, two sisters Beth Gholson of Arkansas (Dave MacKenzie), and Susan Redder (Ron) of Corsicana as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Harmony Christian Ministries, 1816 W. 2nd Ave., Corsicana, TX 75110. Officiated by Pastor Tony Stephens
