Carol Ann Williams was born on November 13th, 1950 to Bernice and Johnnie Williams and passed away on October 27th, 2023 in Haltom City, Texas at the age of 72.
Carol grew up in Dallas where she graduated high school at Franklin D. Roosevelt High School in 1969. Carol moved to Austin in 1984 and worked as a Pre-K teacher at Today's Child Day Care for over 15 years until she retired. In 2008, she relocated back to Dallas to be closer to her family.
Carol Williams was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. The world lost a funny, kind and caring person with her passing. She was such a giving person with a big heart. She loved to see everyone happy and would give you her last. She had a big impact on children when she worked as a teacher. Many of her former students would still reach out to her after graduating.
After retirement, Carol enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed watching her favorite soap opera, The Young and the Restless, judge and talk shows, and a good Lifetime movie.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents Johnnie and Bernice Williams; brothers, Jimmy Putnam, Bruce Williams and long term friend, Mr. Andy Haywood.
Carol is survived by her children Tanisha Williams of Garland, TX; Jason Williams of Grand Prairie, TX; Kersonder Williams of Homestead, FL and Latosha Williams of Ft Worth, TX; Grandchildren Michael Haywood, Marcus Haywood, Dedrick Williams, Avonte Henderson, Camryn Stern, Mia Williams, Bralen Oyeneye and Rafael Williams; Great -grandchildren Daisyanique Haywood, Marcus Haywood Jr, Amiyah Haywood, Alia Haywood, Ayden Williams, Nevaeh Williams and Elijah Williams; Sister Joyce Russell (Roderick) of Garland, TX; Nephews Kedrick Joiner and Marcus Joiner of Garland and a host of other family and friends around the great state of Texas and beyond.
The family will hold a private ceremony on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 3:00 pm.
Carol was an educator and wanted to see her grandchildren graduate high school and begin their college journeys. A scholarship fund will be set up to ensure they achieve their goals. A Go fund me is set up under, Ms. Carol's Education Fund. Any donation amount is greatly appreciated.
