Carl J Schmitt passed away on October 5, 2021 at his home in Keller, Texas. The last two years were hard for him after his strokes, but through his courage and strength he pushed through every day with his wonderful smile.
Carl J Schmitt was born May 10, 1933 to Alfred and Hilda Schmitt. Carl is survived by his children; James and his wife Jennifer Schmitt, Todd Schmitt, Anthony Schmitt and Tara Schmitt. He had four grandchildren; Lauren, Jimmy, Ava and Zachary, siblings; May Lou Kennedy and many nieces and nephews as well as extended family and friends.
Carl was proceeded in death by his wife of 46 years Kathleen Schmitt.
He served 2 years in the Korean War as a radio operator. He worked as an Ironworker for 33 years and helped build many skyscrapers in the San Francisco skyline. He loved to travel and RV and over the years he got to see all 50 states, 5 Canadian provinces, and 14 countries. He loved to play pool, ping pong, motorcycling, basketball, bike riding and waterski. He always loved to grab a burger and a chocolate shake and was very interested in UFO sightings and space.
Carl was the greatest most consistent example of what it means to be a man, friend, and father. He was an amazingly patient, loving, caring and kind man. He will be greatly missed by everyone who loved and knew him.
