Ashtyn was raised in Sudan, Tx where she went to Sudan Elementary and High School, there she was active in sports and academics and loved by not only the student body but the teachers as well, she was voted class president by the student body/faculty because of the kindness and sense of humor she showed to all. This boundless energy was channeled into her love of sports (basketball and track), music- playing the tuba in the band, acting as the school mascot, twice state debate team and graduating with honors. This energy was then put into her college education at Lubbock Christian University where she was a Kappa Phi Kappa and participated in the Master Follies. She was a hard worker even at a young age, she worked at different jobs through high school and college always making friends along the way.
She moved to the metroplex in 2014 when looking for a change in life and took a 7-year job at the Spirit Grille. She met the love of her life, Jon David whom she married in 2017. It is also during these years that Ashtyn made a myriad of friends who will treasure the heartwarming memories they have of her.
Through her marriage to Jon David, Ashtyn’s many other amazing talents began to bloom. She was a loving wife and mother to stepson, Gavin (17) and daughters Paislee (4) and Oaklee (1). She was a creative and painted breathtaking murals in the rooms of her sweet girls. Ashtyn loved crafting projects for her kids and was incredible at making costumes for them as well. Everyone always looked forward to family themed Halloween costumes such as “Alice in Wonderland” and a “Spooky Halloween” to Captain Jack Sparrow to Beetlejuice.
Ashtyn was an old soul with an amazing heart and a contagious laugh. She loved I Love Lucy reruns and Betty White; she recognized the importance of family and the value of friends. She was a great mother always creating fun treasures with her children no matter how big the mess. She was the best of the best.
