Anthony Wayne “Smiley” Riley was born on February 9th, 1952, and passed away on July 19th, 2021, at the age of 69 years old.
Smiley was born in Hillsbore, Ohio, but grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was the youngest of five siblings. Anthony entered the United State Marine Corps in 1969 and after being discharged, he moved to Texas and spent the next fifty years there. Smiley was a die-hard Packer fan. He enjoyed watching the games with friends and family. He also enjoyed watching the Badgers, the Brewers and the Bucks. Having a barbecue in his back yard for his friends and neighbors was one of his favorite things to do.
Anthony’s smile was contagious. He had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone. He was very kind and very generous, and if someone needed something he would find a way to get it for them. He truly was very outgoing.
Anthony is preceded in death by his parents, Grafty William Riley and Hazel Louise Riley, brother, Robert William Riley, brother-in-law, Arthur Farra, and by his beloved dog, Blue.
Anthony is survived by his sister, Faye Farra, brother, Michael L and Rita Riley, sister, Betty L and Terry Schooley; beloved uncle of nieces and nephews, Tracy, Joe , Tony, Craig, Wendy, Rob, Caroll, John and Monica, as well as by many great nieces and nephews, lifelong friends and family, and his beloved dog, Molly.
A Memorial Service will be held in Wisconsin at the Southern Veterans Memorial Cemetery on September 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM
