Annette Lorraine Lain was born on April 16th, 1938, in Cleburne, Texas, to Hughlin Otis Skinner and to Geneva Era Hall, and passed away on November 12th, 2023, in Crowley, Texas, at the age of 85 years old.
Annette had three siblings; Helen, Barbara, and Gerald. She Grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, and graduated from Trimble Tech High School in 1956. She worked a number of years as a shipping and receiving clerk for Kent Associates, which was a job she loved.
Annette loved playing card games, dominoes and working puzzles.
Annette was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her chicken and dumplings, sugar cookies, and peanut brittle. She also loved taking daily walks, sitting outside and visiting with her neighbors on nice weather days.
Annette is preceded in death by her parents, Hughlin Otis Skinner, and Geneva Era Skinner, sisters, Helen Barnes and Barbara Rycklik, and brother, Gerald Skinner.
Annette is survived by her daughter, Sherri Hamburg, and husband, David of Burleson, son, Jason Lain, and wife, Jill of Burleson, grandchildren, Shelby Hamburg, Griffin Lain, Carter Lain, and Charlie Lain.
A Graveside Service will be held on December 9th, 2023, at 2:00PM, at the Burleson Memorial Cemetery, in Burleson, Texas. Pastor Terry Williams will be officiating.
