Alice Elizabeth Roberts

Alice Elizabeth Roberts was born on March 17th, 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas to Betty Martin and Robert "Bob" Roberts and passed away on May 1st, 2023 in Decatur, Texas at the age of 68.

Liz grew up in Roanoke, Texas with her brother Victor Roberts, and her sister Shelia Ansley.  She graduated from Northwest high school in 1973, in Justin, Texas.  She worked in the food industry for over 30 years.

Liz’s life interest was her children and then her grand children.  She loved her family and they were her focus of life.  She loved God with all her heart.

There was just no one like Liz. People say they ‘have a sister”.  God gave Liz to Shelia as a sister, and God knew what he was really doing was giving Shelia a best friend.  She was a great sister but she was an excellent best friend.  She was the best of the best.  You could say anything you wanted, have your own opinion and never be judged. She loved you for who you were. She was so much fun to be with and you knew you were loved by her.  She will be missed so much.

She was preceded in death by her father Robert L. Roberts.

Survived by her children, Pacer Lee, Kimberly Oates and son-in-law, Billy Oates and Marc Lee and her mother, Betty Roberts.  She is survived by 11 grandchildren and 1 great grand daughter Savanna. She is also survived by her sister and brother in law Shelia and Cary Ansley, and their son, Jason Ansley,by her brother Victor and his two sons Jeremy and Thomas. And she had many whom she loved, and many who loved her.

Liz called Shelia and asked her to do her a favor.  She said sure.  When I get well would you go get Jamie, come pick me up and take me to lake Bridgeport so we could go fishing.  She said, sure I’ll do that.  Liz never got well.
