Obituary
Alfred 'Butch' H Hopson, Jr passed away on June 15,2022 in Weatherford, TX after battling an illness which was a result of driving over a March 28 wildfire with his mower a week later and being covered with the stirred up soil. He was very healthy until this incident. Butch was born on January 4th, 1948 in Lubbock, Texas.
Butch loved his retired life, he embraced the Wildlife everyday including hawks, cranes, deer, wild turkey, all small creatures and his fish.
He loved horseback riding, fishing and sailing. He loved his sailboat so much he moved it home last December. He had a passion for history, loved 40's music, mystery plays and movies. He loved his top hat and would dress up at Christmas. He genuinely enjoyed dressing up at Halloween.
Butch retired January 2014 as a Design Engineer from Tristar. He had a natural talent for woodworking.
He is survived by his wife Betty of 32 years; his son Josh; his nephew Coy (wife Sharon, their 2 sons) and his niece Dianna and her son.
Good health and love will follow Butch all the days of his life where he will dwell in the house of the Lord.
