Alexander Negrito Obituary

Alexander Denina "Alex" Negrito, 61, of Fort Worth, TX, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2024. He was born in the Philippines to parents, Lucio and Nelly Negrito, and was raised in Guam, alongside his six brothers and sisters. Alex enlisted in the military after high school and had an illustrious 20-year career in the United States Air Force, before retiring in 2001. Most of his post-military career was spent working in HVAC for Pflugerville ISD in Pflugerville, TX. He spent a few years in Colorado to fulfill some outdoor exploration dreams and ultimately returned to Texas in 2022, to work as a civilian employee for the U.S. Navy.

Alex will be remembered by all those who knew him for his kind and generous spirit. He was always willing to help out anyone in need, doing so without expecting praise or anything in return. He was tough and independent, but deeply caring. His sense of humor was unparalleled, and his legacy will leave behind memories of smiles and laughter.

He enjoyed cooking and grilling, working on his Land Cruiser, and spending time with his dogs. He had a passion for the outdoors, including fishing with his friends and camping with his family. More than anything, Alex loved being a father to his daughters.

Alex is preceded in death by his father, Lucio. He is survived by his mother, Nelly, and siblings: Elias, Robert, Jean, Lucio Jr., Jerry, and MaryAnn, as well as their families. He is also survived by his daughters: Jessica Negrito and Amanda Hilty; his son-in-law, Patrick Hilty; and his granddaughter, Stella June.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
