“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.” “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14: 1-3
One of the most difficult things in life is to lose a son or daughter. Little did I know when I posted the tribute to my dad on Saturday that I would have to say goodbye to my son that same day.
Joshua Michael Stewart, age 28, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 9, 2019 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on July 21, 1990 in El Paso, Texas. He grew up in Fort Worth, graduated from Fossil Ridge High School in 2008, and attended Glenview Baptist Church.
Josh was tender and kind hearted, loving people and animals, and showing compassion for those in need. His unconditional love and big dreams knew no boundaries. He was full of life, love, and laughter. Even though our hearts are broken by his passing, we have everlasting memories that will be with us throughout our lives.
Josh is survived by his father Mark Stewart and mother Carroll Slag, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Josh, you are, were, and always will be, our pride and joy and will forever live in our hearts. We miss you deeply and will remember you always. We are so thankful that we were able to spend twenty eight and a half years with you, our precious son.
Please join us as we celebrate Josh’s short life here on earth. A memorial service will be held at Glenview Baptist Church, 4805 NE Loop 820, Fort Worth, Texas 76137, on Saturday February 16, 2019 at 11:00 am.
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27
